Winter in the Valley Photos

Winter is a great, quiet time in the Shenandoah Valley. Hiking takes over from river activities. There are 'die-heart' fly fishermen along the Hawksbill creek in Luray. Horseback riding is still an option at Fort Valley Stables. Skiing at Bryce or Massanutten ski resorts are less than an hour away. Zip lines and rope courses are new to Luray while the Luray Zoo is a favorite for the kids.

It is a great time to explore the antique, outfitter, art and jewelry stores along Main St in Luray. Stop in one of the restaurants or plan a night out at the Speakeasy or Uncle Buck's. The movies run 'first run at country prices'. Check out the plays or music at the BB & T playhouse on Fri/Sat's. Or plan a visit to the area wineries.

Or back to the cabin for a little TV or a soak in the hot tub! Just check out all the Stars!

and you never know--you might get snowed in for a few extra days of fun!
